The Wheel

The Wheel is always turning,
The seasons come and go,
Today we are naked in the Sun,
Tomorrow, bundled against the snow.
The Wheel turns, the Wheel turns,
Around and around it goes,
The dance of life continues,
As the energy ebbs and flows,
And with the Wheel we turn,
For to it we are bound,
Whatever we send forth,
Will once again come 'round.
The Wheel is always turning,
The Wise One can see,
That the Universe is infinite,
Accept this and be free.

Ultimate Collision

It was the ultimate collision,
We did not even know each other,
But we met by accident.

If I had not stopped short,
You would not have been on top of me,
But there we were crashed together.

The initial shock was stunning,
We did not know what hit us,
But the impact was destined to be.

Waiting

A man puts on his coat and waits,
To be driven to the train station,
Where he can ride the cars to nowhere.

A woman sits waiting in the lobby,
For a limousine to take her away,
Because she thinks she is the president.

Another woman waits by the payphone,
Her mother will soon be calling,
But her mother has been gone for years.

If time passes, they do not know,
For long ago it stood still.
Today is the same as it was before,
Or maybe sooner than that.
There are no tomorrows,
Only an eternity of repetition.

They wait, and will be waiting
Until the train arrives,
Until the limousine drives up,
Until the telepohone rings,
But it never does.
