Rahab hid the spies of Joshua. Her family was protected by the red cord hanging from their window.
Deborah was a judge (prophetess) of Israel. She counciled Barak to stand up to General Sisera. Barak was
afraid, and wanted Deborah to go with him. She did, and Sisera was eventually defeated, but killed by Jael.
Samson was the last judge, a bright hope, killer of Philistines, but eventually brought low by Delilah, and blinded by
his enemies.
