Babylon Mood’s director and choreographer, Regine Costello, has
been dancing for most of her life. Her early dance training focused on classical
Spanish Flamenco, but she soon branched out in other ethnic dance arts, including Mexican Folklorico, Polynesian Dance and
Middle Eastern Dance (Belly Dance). She has been performing and teaching Cabaret and Tribal style Belly Dance
for close to 20 years and holds the Fat Chance Belly Dance general skills certification instructed by Caroleena Nericcio.
Regine Costello is widely recognized as an innovator in the field of
ethnic dance and choreography. She is the recipient of the Arts Excellence Award in the Dance Category for the State of California
in 2001 as well as the Excellence in Arts Award in the Dance given by the City of Torrance. With Babylon Mood, Ms. Costello
garnered the Second Runner Up Position in the Group Category of the prestigious Belly Dancer of the Universe Competition in
2006. As a solo artist, she was the second runner up in the Veil Belly Dance category in 2007 and 2008.
Regine teaches belly dancing classes for adults and children in Torrance and Lomita (with levels ranging from Beginning to
Advanced). She conducts workshops in circular veil technique and private instruction. Regine also offers classes in Ballet,
Tap, Mexican Folklorico, Polynesian dancing and Flamenco for adults and children in Torrance, Lomita, Harbor City, and Banning.Please

is now closed. The next class session will begin in June. Please e-mail babylonmood@earthlink.net to be notified when registration
begins. Please register early as classes, especially at the beginning level, fill up fast.
