Why am I at work???
18 sep 03 @ 11:05 am
I work for a company who follows the Federal Government closings, when relating to weather. Today, Thursday September 18, 2003 the Federal Government is off due to upcoming “Hurricane
Isabel” - but my company is not. Why of all days did they not follow through
with the normal protocol? I was so happy to have today off and when I found out
that we didn’t have today off I was like, no big deal I will telework. But, my
glorious telework didn’t work, so I had to come into the office anyway. This
is so not fair – I am contracted to work 40 hours a week. By Wednesday, September
17, 2003 at 3 PM I was already at 40 hours and by the present moment I am at 53 hours.
I think my day is done and I am taking my black ass home to watch “Reign of Fire”

17 sep 03 @ 2:59 pm Having the ability to listen to NPR all day long has been the greatest thing. I already feel like my brain is expanded with anti-Bush knowledge with
a minor 4-hour music (jazz or classical - two NPR stations to choose from) interlude.
I have never experienced
so much anti-Bush Jr. and Sr. programming. It seems that every host whether white, black or green cannot stand Bush
and/or his politics. And, I won't even mention the feelings they have about Cheney...it's enough to make a mute scream!!!
Now am I anti-Bush - NO. Am I pro-Bush - NO. Basically, I don't like what the man is doing to this country
and others or the lies he pushes to get is agenda cleared, but I don't hate the man. I could go on and on about it,
but my name isn't Chris Matthews and my weblog isn't Hardball.

Awwh, yeah babe!!!
16 sep 03 @ 9:40 am
love my office!!! I love my office!!! Can you believe my turnaround? It all has to do with the fact that I can get 89.3 in my new office, which means I get to listen to Democracy Now!!! The Lord has shined his goodness down upon me.
beware those who know me – I will bring politics back to the dinner table, which means less big bootie girl talk...So sorry!!!

And I won’t even bother to be vulgar and give my
usual follow up words but I do totally suck at golf. I don’t know what the heck
happened between last week and this week, but a bad golf bug bit me and my game is all jacked up. I understand that we all have a bad day, but this day was horrible!!! My swing speed dropped to 63 miles,
making my 6-iron yardage estimate around 106. If a beginner golf female swing
speed is over 50 – she should be VERY happy. But, if I were to tell you my average
swing speed, which is a LOT higher, then the measly average of 63 I was hitting today you would be bummed for me too. And not only did my swing speed dropped by my golf swing is all screwed up. My head came up to early, my left knee was straightening before the clubface came within a foot of the
ball, I was leaning to far forward…shit, I was barely even doing my normal thinning of the ball. My clubface was constantly open versus being square. I was
a total mess!!! And to top it all off my friggin’ fingers are too long so I NEED
a bigger grip. I kept stating that the club was shifting in my hand no matter
what I did, but others kept telling me it was improper grip. I knew it wasn’t
and thanks to Jim my brilliant golf instructor my feeling was confirmed…my grip is damn good – I just need more grip rubber
on my clubs. So, I need to find a specialist to do the proper measurements and
that will help with the club shift during my swing. More grip rubber will let
me have a lighter hold of the club, which will make my grip proper and less hard. I
need to leave the course and driving range alone for two weeks and just do practice swings in my basement, do some wrist training
and head to shoulder positioning and I hopefully I will get my mojo back.
