Concerto
Editions was founded in 1997 with the goal of publishing
high quality renaissance and baroque music, specializing in works that have never been published or that exist only in hard-to-find,
out of print older editions. All editions are based upon the original manuscripts
or period printings. All editorial suggestions and/or changes from the sources
are clearly marked as such. It is our intention that the performer be presented
with music that is as close to the original as possible, but enhanced by modern formatting and printing to facilitate performance.
As of 1 September 2006, Concerto Editions
will be moving to an entirely electronic format for delivery of music. However, paper
versions of every title in this catalogue will be available from Prima La Musica!, whose website is:

If you wish to purchase a pdf version of any title, please email, fax or telephone me with your request. Sample
pdf files are available. As of 1 October 2008 Pdf file pricing is now shown for all titles except
for Stölzel and Pisendel. For the remaining works any title less than $20 will continue to sell for the price
shown in the website. Titles more than $20 will sell for $20 or $15 less than the published price, whichever is greater.
If you prefer traditional paper scores and parts, please contact me with your request, and we will in turn contact
Prima La Musica! to make the appropriate arrangments. Please note that during this time of transition the Prima La Musica!
website catalogue may not show the Concerto Editions titles. Prices for the music printed and shipped by Prima
La Musica! will be determined by that company.
All of the Renaissance titles except for the
Morales Officium will continue to be available on paper from Concerto Editions. Checks must be written on US banks and made out to
Maxwell Sobel, not Concerto Editions. We also accept VISA or MasterCard.
