Is
June almost over already? Wow.. This month flew by! The
Combat Rock client roster
featured many fine concert performances in the month of June, and here's what went down:
Langhorne Slim
ripped a solo set at
Spaceland and had the entire crowd singing and clapping along.
One of
the Loudest Tragedies Ever Heard, who's new album "Situation Nowhere" just keeps getting better with every listen,
played their best show ever at
Cinespace in early June. They also were hilarious as the live guests
on LA's
Indie 103 morning show
"The Mighty Morning Show" with
Dicky Barrett.
Lead Tragedy
Johnny Fisher has compiled a summer mixtape, check it out
here. More live shows continued as the month wore on. Soon it was off to Orange County to see Georgia's
The Sloppy Meateaters
rip a set at
Chain Reaction. Great great show. Cool guys. While in the van on the road, they love listening
to Syndicated UFO talk show
"Coast to Coast". That's hot. Reggae superstar
Mishka brought down the house at
The Vault 350 in Long
Beach as he played the Record Release party for
Cornerstone RAS Recordings "Look at all the Love We Found: A Tribute to Sublime". Awesome show. Finally, just last night I treked out to Spaceland again to see
Oslo turn on a whole
roomfull of new fans. A very well-attended show that also featured
Youth Group and
Run Run Run.
This Sunday night will feature a showcase from Producer
Tommy Hendricksen's stable of talent at the
Key
Club with performances by
Clear Static (who just signed to
Maverick/WB),
Still
Standing, and
Balay. Should be an awesome show. What a month of shows! Oh, and June
28 is my birthday. Feel free to send presents. Next month...
Kat Parsons does a residency at the
Hotel
Cafe every Wednesday.
