The Czech is in the Mail
Coming soon to your mailbox is the coolest and best band to come out of
the Czech Republic, none other than Sunshine. To the uninitiated, they are four guys playing
loud, dark 80's guitar riffs over synth beats and they bring you a sound that's so hot. They blend a few different
styles together so it's hard for me to describe the music with mere words. Best bet is to hear the music for yourself, which
you can do right here: http://www.myspace.com/sunshinetrash Sunshine was chosen by SPIN magazine, in their March, 2004 issue, as “one of the bands to watch in 2005.”
With their forthcoming LP, Moonshowers and Razorblades, coming in April 2005,
there is every reason to believe the hype. The band will be in the US next Spring, starting with a blow-out show at SXSW
in March 2005.
