New York was awesome. I attended my 9th CMJ Convention this year and it was great fun, as always. Highlights include: One of the Loudest Tragedies Ever Heard, The Fall, Hope of the States, Langhorn Slim, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, The Concretes, The Music, The Rolling Blackouts, The Donnas, Schillers (GREAT restaurant), The Crimea, the Vice Party, Soca Dancing, hot dogs and pizza. It was great to see everyone and my hotel (The Hudson) was amazing. Thanks to Sam Jagger at the Ian Schrager Hotel Group for the sweet deal. Can't wait for SXSW already! Did a quick trip to Vegas after CMJ to see The Flash Express rip a set at the Double Down Bar. Great bar. It's my favorite bar in Vegas, actually. Upcoming trips: Vegas, again, in mid Nov '04 and Chicago in Dec '04. Like the late, great Joe Strummer used to say: "Check you down the road..."
