LINKS
Here are some links to some excellent sites:
Unit History:
http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/books/r&h/r&h-9in.htm - This is a an extract that was written by one of the 9th Infantry's officers in the late Nineteenth Century. It gives a nice "once over" on the 9th's history. Hopefully I will eventually be adding more in this area!
Indian Wars Units & Groups:
General Miles Marching & Chowder Society - The most hardcore of Indian Wars living history groups. They do strictly infantry and have high standards for authenticity. I'm proud to be a member and urge anyone who is serious about doing Indian Wars infantry to consider joining up.
American Civil War:
55th Ohio Volunteer Infantry - This group does a campaign impression and I'm proud to count myself in their ranks. The 55th Ohio is one of the few units that have the distinction of having served both in the East and the West. They ended up with 20th Corps on Sherman's march to the sea. Bully!
First World War:
2nd Chevauleger Regiment - This is a group that does WWI German cavalry- not your usual kind of living history. Check them out!
Miscellaneous:
Big Johnson's Web Site - My good partner Bill Johnson's web site- full of living history stuff!
