There are two family members who are of the four-legged variety. They are as much a part of the family as the two-legged
members. And often more trouble - and much more loving.

Mr. Kitty Katz
Mr. Katz joined the family before we were married. The little boy next door had shown us his new kitten, "Mimi"
who promptly decided to spend more time at our house than its own. Speedy, our dog at the time, just as promptly, decided
to become the kitten's protector, John started feeding it and soon, well, you get the idea. We now had a cat. We started calling
it Kitty, and then days before the wedding discovered it was a male. It became "Mr. Katz". He has now taken over the house
and is quite demanding, as well as quite adorable. When he wants to be.

Maggie
One day a co-worker and friend of Colleen's mentioned that her sister-in-law had to find a home for the family dog. The
father had died, the step-mother moved and left the doge behind, and poor Dawn couldn't have her in a small apartment. Colleen
tried to find her a home, but once she had seen that smile - it was too late. Maggie came to live with us over Labor Day weekend
in 2003 and has been happy her ever since.
