Women Peacemakers Women are the world’s greatest resource for peace. With this understanding, Global Coalition for Peace presents Women Peacemakers of the World, a comprehensive program for engaging women of all ages in creating a more peaceful world. The program consists of three distinct, interrelated initiatives. Inspired by the slogan, “I will not
raise my child to kill your child,” the Women Shaping Society will consist of women who are beyond the stage of having babies and are more actively engaged in professional, political and social activities. We will encourage these women to use their positions and influence to promote the causes of peace within their fields of endeavor. The intervention of their feminine energy will make a significant difference in the process that is now taking place in the world. Young Women In Action will incorporate school-age women from the age of thirteen into the Women Peacemakers of the World program. Looking upon these young women as future mothers and community leaders, we hope to inspire in them the notions of peace and non-violence. Ideally, women from the other two groups will be invited to act as mentors and role models. The wisdom of the sages, of ancient civilizations, speaks about the cyclical nature of the workings of the universe. They have spoken about the declining cycle of the male energy in dominance, to give way to the female energy as a restorer, nurturer, and revitalizer of human life and values. This necessary balance will ensure the continuation of the existence of the planet. Global
