Mother’s Day Inspirations

“True mother love is unconditional. We can say that in many ways it is more spiritual and therefore greater than most human expressions of love. God implanted in the heart of the mother a love for the child that is unconditional, regardless of the child’s merit or behaviour. Even if the child in later life becomes a murderer, the mother’s love remains steady, unchanged…The unconditional love of the mother is perhaps the human love closest to the perfection of God’s love. The true mother forgives her son even when no one else will. That kind of love exemplifies God’s love; He forgives His children no matter what sins they have committed. Now who could have placed this love in the mother’s heart, save God? In true maternal love God gives us distinct proof that he loves us unconditionally, no matter how wicked we are, or how many times we have sinned.” --Paramahansa Yoganandaji

“You are freer with your mother than with anybody else. You open your heart more freely to her than to your father. There is no God greater than your mother. It is she who protects you, nourishes you, consoles you, cheers you and nurses you. She is your first Guru. The first syllable which almost every quadruped or human being utters is the beloved name of the Mother—“Ma”. She sacrifices her all for the sake of her children… She alone can give to the child the milk of knowledge and culture and shape its destiny. The rising generation depends entirely upon the training given by the mothers. The improvement and strengthening of the nation is in the hands of the mothers… The rearing of children is really the building up of a nation or a country. From children a nation is made.” --Sri Swami Sivananda

“All women seek one thing above all, to have a child…if not on the physical plane, then spiritually. No woman is exempt, it is part of her nature to expect to be fertilized and have children. “But can a man fertilize a woman spiritually?” you ask. Yes, if their love is spiritual…A great Master could…fertilize all women all over the earth…on condition that they accept his Ideal, for in this case, that is what the seed would be… One might say that womanhood exists as a unity, a Collective Woman…If this collective Woman were to consecrate [herself] to the forming of a collective Child, after receiving the seed of a sublime Ideal…then that child would be the Kingdom of God [on earth]…Women must unite spiritually…to produce this child. All women, single or married, mothers of families or not, must now become conscious of…the sacred duty they have: to improve the world by contributing their creative emanations to form a new collective body, the Kingdom of God on earth.” --Master Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov
