President Matt Livingood - District 7 Board Member
began his work on the Board in 2001 for the area with Carnegie, Grimes, Grissom, Patrick Henry, Key, Marshall, and McClure Elementry Schools; Nimitz and Thoreau Middle Schools; Memorial High School.
Matt is an attorney specializing in business contracts and international law.  He has volunteered as a coach and has been active with school foundations and advisory councils.   His two children are graduates of Tulsa Public Schools

was elected to the Board in 2003, representing Addams, Chouteau, Emerson, Eugene Field, Lee, Park, Remington, Robertson, Roosevelt and Mark Twain Elementary Schools; Clinton and Madison Middle Schools; Central and Webster High Schools.   Charles is  a partner in a public relations consulting firm.   He is a Memorial  High School graduate.  He is active in community affairs, serves on the Community Service Council, Southwest Tulsa Chamber of Commerce, and East Tulsa Prevention Coaliton.

Picture Unavailable Oma Jean Copeland - District 2 Board Member
was elected to the Board of Education in 2005.  She represents the neighborhoods around Burroughs, Kendall-Whitter, McKinley, Mitchell, Owen, Sequoyah, and Springdale elementary schools; Carver and Cleveland middle schools; and Rogers and Washington high schools.  Ms. Copeland is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. for which she serves as the Vice President of the 1967 alumni class.  She graduated from the Hillcrest Medical Center School of Radiology.  She has been an employee of the Cedant Corporation for the past 25 years.

represents the district for Columbus, Cooper, Disney, Kerr, Lindbergh, Mayo, McKinley, Peary, Sandburg and Skelly Elementary Schools; Foster and Lewis & Clark Middle Schools; East Central High School.  Bobbie, a Board member since 1997, is a realtor.  Her  daughter attends  East Central High School and two other  children are EC graduates.  She formerly served on the Metropolitan Area Planning Commission and is an advocate for  neighborhood and community development projects.

was elected in 1992 and represents the area for Barnard, Eliot,  Eisenhower, Lanier, and Wright Elementary Schools; Wilson Middle School; and Edison Preparatory School, which includesr Grades 6-12.  She is a former TPS teacher and  PTA president with two son who attended and graduated from TPS schools.  She has a B.A. in English from the University of Central Oklahoma and an M.A. in Education from the George Washington University.  She is employed by Oklahoma State University as a graduate program coordinator on the Center for Health Sciences campus.

represents  neighborhoods that include Bell, Hoover, MacArthur, Phillips, and Salk Elementary Schools; Byrd and Whitney Middle Schools; and Hale High School.    Ruth Ann, a retired preschool director, was first elected in 1996.  Her three grown children attended and graduated from Tulsa Public Schools.  She remains active in in volunteer work, especially in support of the arts and early childhood education.

Lana Turner Addison -- District 3 Board Member
was elected in 2005.  She has two daughters, one a TPS graduate and the other a current student.  Ms. Turner-Addison holds a Bachelor's   degree in Accounting and a Master's degree in Urban Education, both from Langston University.  Currently she is completing her Ph.D.  in the area of Occupational and Adult Education at Oklahoma State University, where she is employed  as the Community Relations Manager for the Tulsa campus.  She also owns and operates a bookkeeping service.  A Leadership Tulsa graduate, she serves as Board Chair of the Rotary Club of North Tulsa and as Public Relations Chair for the Martin Luther King Commemorative Society.  She has extensive experience in serving or volunteering with community organizations, particularly those supporting young people in north Tulsa Schools.
