"Ring, .... Ring!"

"Huh? Wha-?"

"Ring, .... Ring!"

"H- Hello?"

"Hey, Toro, it's Bucky"

"What do you think you're do'n calling this early?"

"You know what they were saying on the radio, right?"

"What?"

"About how these robbers held up a bank yesterday and how they're gonna hit the one by that restaurant. Says that they almost shot a guy"

"So, what did you want me for?"

"Cap doesn't know about it yet and I think we coul-"

"Three words. Are you nuts?!? If they ever found out.."

"But, what if they don't ?"

"If they don't now, they will later. But, then again, what if people are hurt ..."

"All right, then it's settled. Meet me at the bank tonight, we'll see if they come or not"

"Okay, .... I think."

Later that day .....

"Hey, Bucky!" Toro yelled.

"Hi, Toro. Say, how'd you get out of going on that mission with Torch?"

".... I have my ways, heh."

"Well, the robbers have made two more threats on the bank. But, still nothing," Bucky told his friend.

"So ..... When are they gonna-"

"Six tonight, at the latest," Bucky said.

"Oh, okay. So, that leaves us, what, three hours?"

"Something like that."

"And what if they decide to come earlier?" Toro wanted to know.

"Cap thinks I'm at the park, so I can stay here all day, if I have to, that is."

"Okay, this is going to be a long day," Toro thought this was nuts from the start, now he was sure.

An hour passed, but still nothing. Then, there was an explosion in the direction of the bank.

"That would be them," Bucky told Toro.

They put on their uniforms and ran over to the bank. There were five men, all in ski masks, they were taking money out of the safe and putting it into a large cloth bag. One of the men held a gun to one of the worker's heads.

Bucky and Toro snuck in through the hole the robbers blasted in the side of the wall. Then Toro, who was still hiding, threw a fire ball at the man with the gun.

"Yeee-iippeee!" The fire ball hit the gun and really burnt the guy's hand up. He dropped it and the worker ran to a corner of the room.

"Hey, who's back there?" One of the other robbers pulled out a gun and pointed it at the boxes where Toro was hiding. Bucky was on the other side of the room behind a couple of stacks of paper.

Toro thought for a moment, "Hmmm, if I flame on the bullets wouldn't hurt me. They might also run scared, oh, well" Toro took his own advice and flamed on. This scared the guy with the gun. He tried shooting Toro, but the bullets melted before they hit him. The melted bullets splattered on the floor.

"Ahhhh!!" Was his only response as Toro melted his gun. This set his arm on fire and he danced around trying to put it out.

Bucky deiced this was a good time to come out of hiding. "Waa-hooo!" Bucky knocked the two remaining robbers in the jaw and knee. One got up, the other laid on the ground holding his broken jaw. Bucky hammered him in the face while Toro watched.

"Owch, that has gotta hurt!" Toro said as he watched his friend. Toro landed on the floor and put out the small fire on the desk, then flamed off.

Bucky tied up all the robbers and waited for the police to come.

"This was an interesting fight," Bucky told Toro.

"Yup, sure was."

When the police came they were followed by Cap and Torch who didn't look too happy.

"Opps, busted," Toro whispered to Bucky.

"Come on, let's go," Cap didn't seem too thrilled.

Of course, nether did Torch, "Com'on, Toro"

Toro and Bucky both got a nice, long talk about how they shouldn't do these things alone. Then again, who listens to grown-ups, anyway?
