Another Normal Day

London was a common place to see an dogfight in the sky. Germany favored London in bombing raids, sub attacks, but they didn't count on one thing, the Invaders being there.

Namor's jet cracked the air as they raced through the many buildings. A Stuka pilot quickly learned that attacking London wasn't such a good idea. The Human Torch leaped from the plane and shot fireballs at the German bomber. Before the fireballs hit, however, the pilot had ejected from the doomed plane.

"Scratch one Stuka!" the Torch yelled as he passed his friends, still in the jet. He then flew around to try and chase down another German plane.

Back in the plane Bucky watched, "Hey, Toro, why aren't you out there? Don't you want to go and burn some nazis?"

"Huh? Did Torch already go? Sorry, guess I wasn't paying attention," Toro flew off to go help his partner.

"Toro's in dream-land again," Bucky said to himself.

Namor positioned the plane directly in back of a Bf-109, aimed the guns, and fired. A stream of compressed water shot out of the plane. The first shot missed, but the second shot clipped the fighter's right wing.

The Torch yelled a remark,"You're in the right direction, Subby, but your aim's terrible!"

Namor didn't like Torch's remark and showed him by spraying him with a light stream of water from the ship's guns.

"Ye-owwch!" Torch yelped as the cold water hit him. Of course, this created a lot of steam. A Stuka pilot couldn't see where he was going and....

By now the British pilots had pretty much seen they'd won and the German's knew they'd lost. So, both sides headed for home. But, Bucky yelled at them anyway, "You'd better run!"

"Hey, Namor, what's with shoot'n me with your giant squirt gun back there?" Torch asked as soon as he flew back in the plane.

Namor just laughed under his breath and kept on looking straight ahead.

Cap looked at both of them and said, "Knock it off." Then asked, "Namor, did any of the Stukas hit their target?"

"Only one did, but we were lucky it didn't hit the factory directly, only small storage buildings."

"Could of been worse," Toro said.

Cap nodded then sat down on the cold metal floor. Bucky did the same and let out a sigh.

The plane flew off, back to New York.
