Once Upon
A World #10
Mobius Generation
Watching classroom TV,
a grammar school child,
I could not understand
the teacher's tears:
I was too young
to know where she'd been-
born at the turn of her century.
But, watching,
I felt older than she was,
in faith, acceptance,
and science dreams,
too old
for her to see, to know
that I understood
how Alan Shephard
made the first manned U.S. space flight.
Not only did it please me to see my work in Emily Alward’s
publication, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading her editorial, and several of the
stories. My third wife and I had the
blessing of lunching with Emily while we were on a junket to the Southwest in
September of 2002. Emily, please forgive
me for the food stains on the cover of your magazine. Maybe the fact that I kept it that close at
hand until I finished reading it will be good advertising for you.
I don’t get paid
royalties on the sale of Emily's magazine. From a writer’s perspective, I still
thank you for support, if you choose to order Emily’s magazine.
May the Good Lord Bless You as You Seek Him!
