THE WORD OF
GOD SAYS, "THUS SAITH THE LORD."
Some people keep saying, "Yes, but..."
STILL... THE WORD OF GOD SAYS:
Deuteronomy
8:3 "...that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that
proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live."
Psalms
100:5 "For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth
endureth to all generations."
Psalms
119:89 "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven."
Psalms
138:2 "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy
lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all
thy name."
Isaiah
8:20 "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this
word, it is because there is no light in them."
Matthew
4:4 "But he [Jesus] answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live
by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of
God."
John
5:46-47 "For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he
wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my
words?"
John
10:35 "...and the scripture cannot be broken;"
John
17:1, 8, 17 "These words spake Jesus, ...and said, Father,..."
"...I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have
received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have
believed that thou didst send me." "Sanctify them through thy truth:
thy word is truth."
2
Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:"
1
Peter 1:25 "...the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the
word which by the gospel is preached unto you."
2
Peter 1:19-21 "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do
well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place..."
"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private
interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but
holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."
2
Peter 3:15-17 "And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation;
even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him
hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these
things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are
unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their
own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before,
beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from
your own stedfastness."
Luke
6:46-49 "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I
say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will
show you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged
deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream
beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded
upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a
foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat
vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was
great."
Mark
7:7 & 13 "Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines
the commandments of men." "Making the word of God of none effect
through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do
ye."
Colossians
2:8 "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after
Christ."
Galatians
1:6-12 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into
the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be
some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we,
or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we
have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now
again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received,
let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please
men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I
certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after
man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the
revelation of Jesus Christ.
Revelation
22:18-20 "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the
prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add
unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take
away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part
out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which
are written in this book. He [Jesus Christ] which testifieth these things
saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen."
Are
you in doubt, or have you been taught to doubt the reliability of God's Word?
Do the traditions you learned cast fear or darkness over the very Life that
Jesus said is in the Light of the teaching of His Holy Spirit throughout all
the Bible? Whose word will you trust? Man who dies? or God who lives?
On whose authority will you base your life?
Will
you turn now from your doubts or fears? Seek
the guaranteed, blood bought promises that fill the Holy Scripture of the
Bible, miraculously and dramatically redeeming the lives of those who trust the
Bible as God's final authority here on Earth. Jesus says that we can and need to trust the
accuracy of the whole of Scripture. Our
lives depend on it...eternally.
John
12:47-48 "And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not:
for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me,
and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have
spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day."
There
was a time when God winked at mankind's ignorance, "...but now commandeth
all men everywhere to repent." Acts 17:30.
When the Word of God tells US to repent it always
means:
To be sorry for our sin,
To be willing to turn away from sin,
To take the action of really turning away from sin,
To turn to God for His remedy for sin,
To seek God's will for what He wants us to do in place
of sin.
ARE
YOU UNSURE ABOUT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS CONCERNING YOUR ETERNAL DESTINY IF YOU
WERE TO DIE RIGHT NOW? Would you like to be assured right now, according to
God's Word, that you can be reborn of the Spirit of Christ, into His New Life,
guaranteed a place He will prepare for you in Heaven? God says you have a right
to know, and to choose! "Come now, and let us reason together, saith the
LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..."
Isaiah 1:18
Please
accept God's challenge to you! Search your heart and the Scriptures to see if
your ideas about salvation are the same as His promises. Read Romans chapter 3:
verses 10, 12, & 23; Romans 6:23; Romans 5:8; Romans 10:9-13; John 3:1-21;
John 5:24; and John 6:37 for a taste of God's Precious Promises.
God has never broken one promise in the Bible.
And He will never break any of them;
For He can not lie. Titus 1:2.
There
is a whole new life waiting for you in Jesus Christ if you will trust Him and
take Him at His Word. If you are concerned about what Bible to use, I
recommend, use, and stand behind the King James/Authorized version of the Bible
for English speaking people because history testifies to its authenticity in
the eyes of God.
