Catechesis Registration Form

PROJECT:  “Hungry Angelz”

According to the school system, in Cumberland County there are 550 children

who are considered homeless.

Our service project this year for the Catechetical ministry will be to provide assistance to these homeless children through our generous donations of healthy food products that will be distributed on Friday afternoon(s), making it possible for them to have food to eat over the weekend(s).

We committed to this program for six (6) distribution dates over the course of  six (6) months, going from November, 2009 through April, 2010.

The contributions will need to be into the Office of Catechesis on the dates of:  11/15/09, 12/13/09, 01/17/10, 02/14/10, 03/14/10 and 04/11/10 for each of the month(s).

The items requested are for healthy foods for all ‘school age’ children.  The items must be individual serving sizes and non-perishable.  A variety of items will be placed in 1-gallon plastic zip locked bags and distributed to students eligible for the program.

Some examples of items being requested would be:

*small bottles (6 oz.) of water

*individual boxes of  “non-refrigerated” regular (white) milk

*canned items with a pop top or pull back top - Vienna Sausages, Mac & Cheese, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Raviolis, etc.

*small individual packaged items - juices boxes w/straw, packs of peanuts, raisins, boxes of cereals, cheese & crackers, butter & crackers, cookies, snack or breakfast bars, etc.

*other miscellaneous items - blankets or throws for cover, stocking hats and mittens, etc.

We wish to say THANK YOU ahead of time for your participation in this service project as we reach out to the least of those among us.
