Marie is interested in making functional pottery that is interesting and refreshing. She uses many colors in her glazing approach to see how they contradict and also compliment each other. The clean lines in the forms are directly related to her visual interest in architecture.

Marie is a two time graduate from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology). First, from the School for American Crafts receiving a BFA in Ceramics; second, receiving her Masters in Art Education. After finishing her schooling, she is now getting back to her artwork as an excited member of the fantastic Crocus Clay Works studio.
