Hampton is noted for its history and for those who would like to know more, Cliff house at Seaview, a B and B Guest House Inn, is adding the following  web site for your enjoyment.

one of our most famous visitor was John Greenleaf Whitter and if you want some inside history just link to John G. Whitter on the first page of the above link. The next thing you will be linking to his poems, then to his fan club.

 Another poem you might like, written by Eve Merrian, goes as followes;

            There go the grownups to the office,
            To the store. Subway rush,
            Traffic crush; Hurry, Scurry,
            Worry, flurry,
            No wonder Grownups Don't grow up any more.
            It takes a lot of slow to grow.
