The Pond Rats are a Radio control Model Boat club dedicated
to providing wholesome recreational activity that the whole family can enjoy. Our facility provides all the amenities to enjoy the sport of model
boating. We are also proud to sponsor several NAMBA sanctioned races during the racing season, and provide access to
the pond on most weekends to club members and guests.
Our location provides us with a prestine environment
and moderate temeratures year round. Located minutes off the 101 freway, just inside the Cal State Channel Island entry.
Everyone enjoys a day at the pond....
We have a complete race coordination building, Public
Address system, Shaded Pit Area, Drivers starting tables, drivers stands and plenty of parking for your vehicle and / or trailer.
We host / sponsor various events from club activities to NAMBA district 19 Heat
nitro and Gas classes and Contest races during the model boat racing season. Club events are held monthy.
manufacturers sponsors, hobby shops and anyone interested in this high action sport, is welcome to attend.
We are glad to host Electric, Nitromethane or Gasoline models of any size (NAMBA
max size: 60").
