Books and Pamphlets:

• Sex and the Mysteries by John M. Haffert.  (Washington: AMI, 1970).

"This book says what every balanced person knows: "Sex is beautiful".  But it also says what a growingly disturbed world does not know:  "The abuse of sex..no matter how clamorous, no matter how perfumed and smiling..is NOT beautiful."  This is the most unusual book for our times, concentrating on subjects that are seldom stressed: purity, virtue, and peace of soul.  There has never been a time when such a book was more badly needed.  Haffert stresses that purity of heart can be achieved by devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, wearing the Brown Scapular and praying the Rosary.  Contains many meditations for the fifteen traditional Mysteries of the Rosary.  Highly recommended.

• An Affair of the Mind:  One Woman's Courageous Battle to Salvage Her Family from the Devastation of Pornography, By Laurie Hall

  (I haven't read this one, but Steve Wood of St. Joseph's Covenant Keepers highly recommends it for people who struggle with this)

• Sex and the Sacred City, by Steven Kellmeyer. (Peoria, IL Bridegroom Press,2003) 100 pages.

  Nine meditations on Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body, drawing from "a wide range of papal writings, from Pope Pius X's "On Chaste Marriage"(Casti Connubii) through Pope John Paul II's "On the Dignity of Women", "Letter to Families", "The Family in the Modern World", "Guardian of the Redeemer" and the Catechism of the Catholic Church."  A concise introduction to this important topic.

  Available from Bridegroom Press, as a book.  A compact disk by the same title is also available for about the same price.  It is a one-hour talk was given in March 2002; I don't know how much information it contains compared to the book.
