Fleece Dog Jackets

Canine Casual Wear

Single layer polyester fleece jacket for indoor wear, mild cold, or layering.

The fleece is first quality and has been pre-washed under conditions you would be most likely to use (machine wash warm, regular dry x 30 minutes).

Colors and prints vary seasonally.

Jackets fasten on the side with three inch wide hook and loop fastening system (like Velcro brand hook and loop fastener). I use high quality, industrial grade hook and loop.

Website price: $18.00 for Regular length; $20.00 for Extra Long Dog length (plus actual shipping costs).

About me: I used to sew for a company that makes custom gear and apparel for demanding activities such as cave exploring and mountain climbing. I apply some of these sturdy construction techniques to these jackets for your canine high performance athlete.

A portion of all profits is donated to greyhound rescue and adoption charities.

Don't Let Your Hound Go Naked - Get a B & T Jacket Today!'

The design of these jackets is very simple, however, I do customize it to your hound using the girth of your dog. Please take a measuring tape and measure the distance around your dog's chest at the deepest point. (If you do not have a measuring tape, use a non-stretchy piece of string or ribbon and then measure this with a ruler.) The jackets are 28 inches long -- Inquire about our EXTRA LONG (32 inches) length. (Not available in all prints)

Comfort Features:

The belly band is three to four inches wide for comfort and non-binding fit. The doubled fabric here allows "enough" stretch for your dog's most contorted sleeping positions -- but enough stability to fit well the rest of the time.

All seams are finished and seams at the chest are overlapped to minimize bulk and provide stability.

The edges of the jacket are folded over and finished using a stretch overedge stitch-- the result is a finished look on both sides of the jacket and a stitch that will move with your active dog.

Hook and loop is sewn in place using a zig zag stitch and "box with an X" stitching pattern for durability. Hook is attached to the band instead of the coat to minimize that scratchy feeling on your dog's side.

-and your shipping address for calculating postage.

Terms and Conditions

Payment: Check, cash, or money order in US Dollars only. (Please don't mail cash.) I accept Paypal. After you contact me about size and availability, I will email you a Paypal invoice. E-checks seem to take longer.

If payment is made by check, your item will be shipped when your payment has cleared the bank. Once an auction has ended, or your order is received, I will provide you with a total cost to you which will include shipping costs.

Shipping: I ship to the US and Canada. Please contact me for shipping rates to Canada. I have also shipped to England and Australia.

Your shipping costs reflect actual cost of shipping to get your product to you. I do not charge a handling fee.

Shipping is by USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise requested. The current shipping cost is $4.80 (as of May, 2008) for one or two jackets sent to the same address. Insurance is available at an additional cost.

Shipping can be combined for multiple items. Priority mail is the standard for shipping your items to you. I will also ship first class to addresses in PA-DE-MD-NJ-- or if the arrival time is of absolutely no concern to you. I recommend Priority for shipments to California. If you would prefer another method of shipping, please let me know and I will check on it. Your shipping costs will reflect the costs I incur to ship using your method from Delaware.

Return and Problems Policy: I strive to make the best quality product for your canine athlete possible. If there is a problem with the fit of the jacket, please contact me and we will find a way to resolve the issue. Also, my jackets are designed and sewn to last, using quality materials. But, they are not indestructible, nor were they designed for continuous outdoor use. Wear and tear are a part of life.

Custom work: Have a special project in mind? Please contact me at carol@greyhoundfleecejackets.com (I have added turtleneck-style collars, made different lengths, and made jackets of fleece selected by you (the customer). I can also make double-layer jackets (may not be available for all prints-please ask). These projects may take longer to complete, so please allow extra time!

Can we make jackets for other breeds?
