CLAUDIA M. VIERA, ESQ.
Claudia Viera is an experienced attorney-mediator specializing in conducting trainings
on conflict resolution and employment law topics, in addition to investigating claims of harassment in the workplace.
Ms.
Viera’s primary focus is on integration of an understanding-based model into mediations of employment and family law
disputes. She strongly believes that exploration below the surface of the dispute is necessary to reach resolutions that have
lasting value to her clients. She has mediated hundreds of cases, both pre and post-litigation.
As an attorney-trainer, Ms. Viera develops and teaches conflict resolution and
employment law programs for organizations on topics such as mediation and communication skills, harassment prevention, EEO
compliance, lawful investigations and diversity awareness. She has taught thousands of managers and employees nationwide on
conflict resolution and employment-related topics. She has also assisted with legal mediation training courses at Boalt Hall
and Hastings Law Schools in California. Her clients range from Fortune 500 companies to universities to local non-profit organizations.
Ms. Viera also performs fact-finding investigations of harassment and employment
discrimination claims. Previously, she practiced employment law at Littler Mendelson, where she dealt with a variety of labor
and employment issues, including disputes arising under Title VII, Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disability
Act, wage and hour laws, and a variety of California state statutes.
