TS: 2 "Down Come Rain" ~ Aaron Grayson is killed by Indians; Clay and his friend Robert Shelby plan the heist of the Cossack gold; Clay lusts after Hannah as a substitute Mary, his deceased wife; Newt proposes to Hannah.

TS: 3 "When Wilt Thou Blow" ~ Newt and Hannah plan their wedding and Clay tries to interfere, coming on to Hannah; Clay and Robert rob the bank with their outlaw gang from Sweetwater, but Newt and Buffalo Bill go after them.

TS: 4 "Wild Horses" ~ Newt finds a mute boy whose parents have been killed; A bumbling outlaw impersonates a U.S. Marshall and is called upon to go after the murderers.

TS: 5 "Judgment Day" ~ Newt tries to get justice done for the murder of an Indian man; Clay wins the Pig’s Eye Saloon in a card game, and he tries to keep his friend Robert from being hanged for an accidental killing.

TS: 6 "Duty Bound" ~ Newt hires on with the Army as a scout to look for outlaws and deserters so he can make extra money to finish building the ranch house; Hannah and Clay minister to a camp of refugees who may have cholera.

TS: 7 "Long Shot" ~ Newt and Clay join forces to pursue unsavory whiskey traders selling tainted brew; Ida takes in a young woman, who turns out to be the girlfriend of the traders’ driver, a young man with no appetite for the outlaw life.

TS: 8 "Last Stand" ~ Newt and Buffalo Bill join forces to find a legendary Indian chief who has left the reserve without government permission; Hannah mediates between Josiah and Austin, who has published a story he plagiarized.

TS: 9 "Ballad of a Gunfighter" ~ Austin thinks he shot an outlaw and takes on a gunslinger persona, which impresses the girl he’s courting; Newt and an undercover Pinkerton agent "join" a family gang of Irish bank robbers to apprehend them; Clay confronts Austin.

TS: 10 "Where the Heart Is" ~ Clay’s friend Olivia arrives and goes into business with him at the new Ambrosia Club; Newt and Hannah have difficulty learning to act as a couple; Newt’s cattle are rustled by an old friend, who shoots him.

TS: 11 "Firebrand" ~ Newt and Hannah help an interracial couple passing through town and the man loses his wagon and horses gambling in the Ambrosia; Clay offers to let him win them back in a horse race against Newt.

TS: 12 "High Lonesome" ~ Newt and Austin are attacked near Sweetwater; Newt is rescued by Curtis (of the wells fame) and he teaches Newt wilderness survival skills.

TS: 13 "Law and Order" ~ Sheriff Kearney arrives; Clay hires men to scare people off soon-to-be railroad land he wants to buy, but fires them when one assaults Hannah; they come after Clay at the Ambrosia Club; Olivia leaves.

TS: 14 "The Road Home" ~ Newt’s horse is captured by Indians and he hitches a ride on a stagecoach; he helps the passengers when two men attack, seeking revenge against a Pinkerton agent among them.

TS: 15 "Blood Money" ~ An ex-con returns to town wanting to go straight, but a temporary deputy harasses him with ulterior motives; Newt helps the man and uncovers the deputy’s real intentions.

TS: 16 "Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show" ~ Newt and Hannah go to Bismarck and help Buffalo Bill save his Wild West Show from financial sabotage.

TS: 17 "Traveler" ~ A woman photographer comes to town and fascinates Hannah with her independence, but Newt, as deputy, investigates her as a possible murderer; Clay has a one-night affair with her and tries to help her escape the law.

TS: 18 "Rebellion" ~ Newt helps a young girl in Sweetwater find her father and helps the townspeople against the mafia-like control of some Regulators; Clay secretly ministers to his friend Robert, who was shot during a robbery.

TS: 19 "The List" ~ Curtis finds gold and miners converge on Curtis Wells; Clay goes after a Union soldier whom he believes was responsible for his family’s murders during the Civil War; Newt puts Clay in jail.

TS: 20 "Ties That Bind" ~ Newt is thought to be dead; Clay makes moves on a grieving Hannah and they kiss, causing Hannah much guilt when Newt is rescued by his father, Woodrow Call.

TS: 21 "Snowbound" ~ Outlaws take control of the town while it is snowbound; Clay presses his case with Hannah, who rejects him and then tells Newt about the kiss; Clay, Newt and Luther kill the outlaws, but Hannah is trapped in an explosion.

TOY: 1 "The Return" ~ Newt Call returns after a two-year absence and finds that Clay Mosby now runs the town; Mattie Shaw arrives and opens her gunshop; Call goes after the men who killed his bounty hunter friend, one of whom is Clay’s sheriff.

TOY: 2 "The Hanging" ~ A 16-year-old boy is caught and sentenced to hang for cattle-rustling and a soft-hearted prostitute hires Call to investigate, hoping to prove his innocence.

TOY: 3 "The Alliance" ~ Clay allies himself with a business partner, a cattleman whose men ravage the town; Mattie kills the man’s son in self-defense and Clay must handle the consequences.

TOY: 4 "Nature of the Beast" ~ (TOY: 6 on Hallmark) A whore is murdered with Call’s knife and Call, who had been in a drunken blackout at the time, tries to remember what happened; Twyla's closes to protest Clay’s lack of protection and slow response.

TOY: 5 "Fear" ~ Clay extorts "taxes" from the general store owner, and is himself later terrorized by an unknown man who turns out to be a business connection and who is the son of a man Clay killed in the Civil War.

TOY: 6 "Badlands" ~ (TOY: 4 on Hallmark) Clay’s horse goes lame in the country and he hitches a ride with three whores on their way to Curtis Wells; They take shelter with a crazy couple who try to kill them; Austin overdoes his role as sheriff and is almost killed.

TOY: 7 "The Bride" ~ Call helps a mail-order bride escape the men who lay claim to her; A preacher comes to town and, being bad for business, Clay tries to corrupt and get rid of him.

TOY: 8 "Providence" ~ Amanda arrives and buys the hotel, setting up conflict with Clay, who sees her as a business rival; Amanda is pursued by her former lover and partner in crime, and he also comes into conflict with Clay.

TOY: 9 "Redemption" ~ An explosion in Clay’s copper mine kills and injures many and blame falls on Clay, who has an attack of conscience even as he tries to shift the blame to somebody else; UnBob has a near death experience.

TOY: 10 "Day of the Dead" ~ A medicine show comes to town, and after the Fat Lady dies in an accident, strange things begin to happen, causing people to seek the witch they think cursed them; Clay helps Mattie deal with her father’s ghost.

TOY: 11 "Thicker Than Water" ~ Call is hunted when a bounty is put on him for a crime he didn’t commit; UnBob discovers he has a grown son, who fancies himself a gunfighter.

TOY: 12 "Lover’s Leap" ~ Mattie falls in love with the new, male teacher in town, who has a secret criminal past; Amanda blackmails him into opening a safe of stolen money she is holding for an outlaw friend.

TOY: 13 "Angel" ~ The bounty hunter, Enona, comes to town to meet her brother, but finds he has died, with Clay at the head of a cover-up; She helps Call recover from snakebite, but the Indian medicine she gives him causes disturbing visions.

TOY: 14 "Bounty" ~ Several savage murders put Curtis Wells on alert and Clay’s relationship with the whore, Florie, is compromised by his suspicions of her involvement in them; Call tracks down the killer after Florie is attacked.

TOY: 15 "Cattle War" ~ Clay faces down a cattle baron who has reneged on his agreement to sell the cattle to Clay; Call finds himself in the middle of the showdown when he hires on as the man’s trail boss.

TOY: 16 "Betrayal" ~ Mattie asks Call to go with her on a trip to buy guns, but then regrets it when Call aggressively handles a conflict with the sellers; The man Call humiliates later tries to bribe Austin into helping them kill Call.

TOY: 17 "The Hideout" ~ A gunslinger comes to town to demand repayment from Clay for his employer’s mine investment losses; When Clay refuses to pay, Mattie and Amanda are kidnapped and held for ransom.

TOY: 18 "The Robbery" ~ (TOY: 19 on Hallmark) Clay is viciously attacked and robbed, triggering flashbacks of his time in a Yankee prison camp; As he rabidly seeks his assailants, suspicion falls on Austin, whom he arrests and plans to hang.

TOY: 19 "Partners" ~ (TOY: 18 on Hallmark) While Clay is out of town, a pseudo "Bonnie and Clyde" couple kidnap Austin and threaten that if he doesn’t pay them $10,000, they will destroy Curtis Wells with a Gatling gun.

TOY: 20 "When She Was Good" ~ A young woman appeals to Call for help when she is the prime suspect in the brutal murder of her parents; After a handyman is hanged, Call has second thoughts about who the killer really is.

TOY: 21 "Medicine" ~ A band of renegade Lakota threatens to attack the town after their medicine man is murdered; Call witnessed the murder, but couldn’t see the killer’s identity; Suspicion falls on Enona, who returns to town with amnesia.

TOY: 22 "Love and War" ~ Amanda loses the Dove in a poker game and ends up in bed with Clay, who gets the hotel back for her, but with strings attached; Amanda plots revenge; Mattie leaves town.
