OFFICIAL EVENT SANCTION PROCESS
REASONS:
SAFETY
FAIRNESS
INSURANCE
TECHNICAL ACCURACY PRESENTATION
REQUIREMENTS:
1. The club/school hosting a CJI sanctioned event should be a
member of CJI.
2. Those not are required to pay a $30.00 Sanction fee.
3. The individual responsible for hosting the event should be a
USJI member. (This person must be 21 years of age.)
4. No two CJI sanctioned events can take place on the same day.
PROCESS:
1. Request Sanction Package from CJI Secretary. It contains:
a. Sanction Process
b. Sanction Application Form
c. Sanction Contract
2. Upon receipt, fill out Sanction Application and Sanction
Contract and include sample tournament flyer (notice).

3. Upon review, a Sanction will be issued and mailed along with
a Tournament/Event Report, Medical Log and Injury Report.
(Make copies as needed.) The Sanction must be physically at
the sanctioned event for inspection by any that wish.
(Know that you may be telephoned for clarifications.) The
sanction can be denied if the Contract and Application are
not completed properly and signed.
4. After the event, fill in the Tournament/Event Report and mail
it along with the requested documents to the Secretary of
Connecticut Judo, Inc. Ms. Jayne Perry

During the event, a CJI representative will monitor all of the
aspects of the event and provide a report to the tournament
sub-committee.
If the host doesn't comply with the conditions agreed upon in
the signed contract, the CJI Representative would request
compliance. If the host doesn't comply, the sanction can be
revoked for breach of contract.
