Connecticut Judo Incorporated (CJI), a not for profit corporation, is the State governing body of Judo in Connecticut. CJI is a group "B" member of The United States Judo, Inc. (USJI). USJI is the National governing body of Judo in the United States. It is given the authority by the United States Olympic Committee and is a voting member of the International Judo Federation. (IJF). Connecticut Judo Incorporated has as it's primary goal the preparation and training of amateur Judo players in Connecticut for competing at the National and International level. We hope to further the Olympic sport of Judo by increasing interest, making information and training more available to players, coaches and the volunteer corps group that officiate tournaments,
Here are color by color synopsis that are easier to print and follow. If going for the full color belt you must do both the stripe and the full color. Example: If going for Yellow belt you need to test on yellow stripe AND yellow belt, Junior Yellow Stripe and.or Belt Junior Orange stripe and Belt Junior Green stripe and Belt Junior Blue stripe and Belt Junior Purple stripe and Belt CJI will still allow junior browns in exceptional cases on a case-by-case basis. Senior Rokkyu Yellow Belt Senior Gokyu Orange Belt Senior Yonkyu Green Belt NOTE: All brown belts and higher must register their rank with USA Judo. USA Judo membership and appropriate fee (See fees) payable to "CJI" Senior Sankyu Brown Belt Senior Nikyu Brown Belt Senior Ikkyu Brown Belt <Note: All Dan ranks must be approved by the State Promotion Board who may review the candidate's history, ask them to demonstrate techniques or whatever the Board deems necessary. In addition promotions beyond the State's authority must be approved by the National Board of Examiners who meet every six months. Currently the state limit is Shodan but that fluctuates with total membership.

Passport photo,(Name on back), recommendation for promotion signed by certified coach,and optional first aid/CPR.
