Club registration and the first practice will be held Tuesday 11-06-07.  Subsequent club practices are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the Citadel Wrestling Room, located in Vandiver Hall on the Citadel Campus (behind McAllister Field House). See map.

Initially, wrestlers will be grouped by experience for practices. Tournaments are held from November through May. Participation in tournaments is voluntary. During the first part of the season, tournaments will be based on folkstyle (collegiate) rules. In March, we will add training in freestyle and Greco-roman rules. Most wrestlers participate in state tournaments through late May and may advance to Regional and National competitions.

Wrestlers will need to purchase a pair of wrestling shoes. The use of headgear is strongly encouraged, but not required. Both shoes and headgear may be purchased at local sporting goods stores. Singlets are optional, but preferred for tournament participation.
