Chicken Feed was exhibited at the Richmond Art Center in "Bay Area Selections in Ceramics" for the 1st Annual Ernie
Kim Memorial Award. Inaugurated in 1999, the annual award includes a stipend, an exhibition, and a chance to teach a workshop
at the Richmond Art Center.

Chicken Feed is about the artists' family business. The parents are indoctrinating their child into a life of chaos and poverty.
They are unconcerned with their scanty, exposed and threadbare costumes; they live with their chickens constantly and no
longer distinguish between life and imagination. The child, naturally, has some reservations about these choices.
