After attending the early contemporary service at First United Methodist Church in Albuquerque. We went to Sandia Peak and took the tram. The day proved to be one of firsts for several group members. Carol Berndsen successfully overcame her fear of heights and completed the trip. Several members who are uncomfortable with heights also completed the trip. |

After lunch, the group divided. Barb and Jerry Murphy drove to the airport and picked up Oleta. The rest of the group drove to Santa Fe to visit the Palace Plaza. Some visited Loretta Chapel with the unique feature of an double spiral staircase with no visible means of support. Other strolled the plaza, viewing the many shops. We then proceeded to McCurdy School, meeting up with the Ralph and Janice Daniels and Margie and Wendell Bogner. After an introduction to McCurdy by Vickie, our liason at McCurdy, Pat Baker led the evening devotions. |
