Today was a day of much progress on many projects.

Carol, Margie, Pat and Barb spent some time with the preschoolers.  They were very excited to hear about who we are and where we came from and to receive special totebags decorated by children in the CUMC ARK program.  It was a very special time.

Meanwhile, Wendell and John were involved with a landscaping project of pulling weeds, laying down a fabric weed barrier, and covering everything with wood chips.

At about the same time Barbara and Carol had an adventurous time trying to deliver several boxes of books to the high school and elementary libraries.  It seems that their golf cart had a stuck accelerator, so going at a slow speed and having control over the movement of the cart was a difficult task.  It took them a while to accomplish their mission!  Fortunately, no one took pictures of this Laurel and Hardy act.

After building a fairly large planter in the shape of a cross, Jerry M, Jerry D, Ralph and Bob stabilized it, and transported to to its final destination in the back of a truck.  This will eventually be a hands-on science project for the students.  More about that later.  Bob and John assembled a storage shed for the gardening tools for the planter project.

Pat, Oleta, and Nancy continued to work in separate offices in the administration building trying to bring records up to date and mailings.  Janice and Marilyn continued doing research and taking pictures for the video about McCurdy.

After a busy and productive day, the entire team traveled to Chimayo for a wonderful dinner experience at Rancho de Chimayo.  We relaxed, chatted and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
