The other day I was thinking, I'd like Axel to have another cat to play with. That very day during lunch, Lollie tells me just as if she was discussing the weather..."we're getting another cat".
I thought, "oh boy, a trip to the shelter". She told me, "he's black and his name is Joansy. I saw him at Debbie and Mike's (my sister's house) and he is the sweetest thing." My only reply was, "well, we'll have to rename him."

So, as I was napping on the hammock, i feel these small feet and this large purr. I open my eyes and this kitten is standing
over me, his pointed ears, his color, and the purring sound were very reminiscent of Darth Vader. Within the hour, his name was changed to Vader.

While you all know I'm a Star Wars freak, the kitten got the name honestly.

UPDATE...So, you will notice the Kitty has on a gold collar on some of the photos...well, he managed to get that one off and I have no idea where it went. So I purchased him another one from Wal-Mart over the weekend...they're only like $3.00. I like the Zebra-striped one better anyway.

By the way, in case you're curious, I made the "cat-vader" picture above by using a Darth Vader pic I found on the web and then I just superimposed Vader's face using Adobe Photoshop...kewl, huh?

Well, for various reasons, we had to find this kitten a new home. I gave him to Deb Wilburn of Gundlach who gave him to a nurse in Edwardsville who lost her husband less than two months ago. So, all's well that ends well.
