Thank you to everyone who particpated in Master Su's 2009 seminars for making them such a great success. Below are a
few comments from those who took part:
Master Su was very knowledgeable.
It is amazing to watch her movement.
My body feels great!
You greatly inspire me.
Nicely presented, well organized
and professionally taught. Thank you for an exceptional experience.
I appreciated the variety of warm-up exercises. I liked the challenge of the
long days and felt Master Su was sensitive to our need for breaks.
I like the non-denominational approach
to basic principles. Good basic foundations for lower body stability!
Master Su, known in China as the Queen of Tai Chi, was named one of China's 100 Outstanding Wushu
Practitioners by the Chinese National Wushu Association. Since the age of eleven, she trained full-time among China's great
martial artists including Bagua Grandmaster Sha Guozheng and Grandmaster He Fusheng from whom she learned Xingyiquan and other
styles.
She won numerous medals in national and international competitions during her 50 years of practice and has
coached many champions in China and Singapore. She is an inspiration through her passion for the martial arts, dedication
to attaining a high level of skill, and desire to share her knowledge with kindness and humility.
Her 2009
seminars included the following classes:
Principles of Movement and Fitness
The principles of direction, focus, balance, and energy flow as expressed in easy-to-learn exercises can become a part
of anyone's basic practice and applied to other movement disciplines. Come and develop a comprehensive warm-up and fitness
routine.
Yang Style Taijiquan
Yang Style movements are large and open, developing balance and strength in the legs. Master Su will cover form, application
of techniques, and push hands. Yang Style practitioners and those new to Taiji are welcome.
Baguazhang (Eight Trigram Palm)
Bagua gracefully expresses power while developing balance, strength and flexibility. Its foundation is circle walking, which
strengthens the back and legs while using coordinated movements of the waist and hips. Learn circle walking, Bagua's basic
steps, and the eight palms in the traditional Jiang style.
Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jing)
This ancient qigong form based on eight movements is still used by doctors in China to help promote health.
Private lessons available.
