Big
miestone
on the project
achieved tonight, as the main and solo chests were put into place. The
careful
measurement and installation of the bearers paid off, as the two chests
fit
just as they should, leaving 11 inches of space in between for a walk
board to
access the chests for tuning and repairs.
A
few more of the bottom board
still need
to be attached to the main chest, then wiring can commence.
We
also have some final
finishing work to do on the swell
shutters, and Chris is finishing reconstruction of the wind box on the
main
chest.
We're
also looking for a day to
remove the console from the
orchestra pit, which will require disassembling a portion of the stage
extension.
