Chewlin and Chevlin Families
We only track these lines casually, as they often cross over with Cherlin records
via misprints and misreadings, and they originate in similar parts of the Pale of Settlement.
We know nothing about the origins of the name but it could certainly be a form (in the U.S.)
of Shevlin. We have not seen any relevant records from the Pale.
