The San Gabriel Valley District (SGVD) consists of 28 federated clubs with a combined membership of about 1,500. It is a member of the California Federation of Women's Clubs (CFWC) as well as the nationwide General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC).
The GFWC is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-profit, charitable organization whose purpose is to combine action among members for the benefit of our various communities through volunteer service. Each department is divided into several areas covering legislation, scholarships, and California history and landmarks.

In addition, members enjoy the added advantage of leadership training.
