Violencia: ¿Por qué?

Lesson Goals

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to

understand some of the circumstances in which violence occur in Latin America, and
express an educated opinion about violence in Latin America.

Tasks

Students will a. listen to authentic Spanish radio broadcasts,
b. read opinions expressed by listeners of the radio programs,
c. take notes from both media sources, and
d. produce their own opinions on the issue.

Scenario

While surfing the net, you happen to find a radio broadcast about violence in Latin America. You heard the broadcasts and read some of the listeners opinions. Of course, you have your opinion too; so, you write it and post it for the world to read it!
