Charlotte Lindsey has worked for over 15 years as a teaching

artist, which has involved both teaching art and administrating art

programs. Her specialty is designing and directing collaborative,

tile mosaic murals that utilize children's drawings. Currently, she is 

applying her skills outside the classroom, teaming with artist Larry 

Enge on several public art projects including work for the DART

Art and Design Program and the City of Frisco. From 2002 to 2004,

she partnered with the late Carol Wilder on public art projects, 

which included designing the terrazzo floor and connecting concrete

walkways for the new terminal at the Dallas Executive Airport, scheduled

to open in 2006. Charlotte has been included in the Big Thought/ Young

Audiences' Residency Roster since its inception in 1991 and was honored

as the 2005 National Young Audiences Artist of the Year. Her residencies,

workshops, teacher training and mural making have taken her to over 

50 settings across the Dallas area, including schools, museums, parks,

cultural and community centers, shelters and hospitals. She directed the

ArtWorks Program at The Wilkinson Center for six years and served for

three years as the Artistic Director for the Dallas site of the Kennedy

Center Imagination Celebration. She has a BFA in Graphic Design from

the University of North Texas and did graduate work in printmaking.
