| Terminal Lobby: terrazzo floor |
Our concept was to employ symbols and imagery from aeronautical charts in
a floor design that would:
- create a visual focal point for the center of the building
- compliment and contrast with the angles and lines of the architecture
- use inviting colors to contrast with the metallic finish of the building
- lead visitors through the building, from land to air and from air to land with silver linear elements in the concrete
walkways and interior terrazzo floor
- visually connect the terminal and smaller conference building

The objective of this project was to identify ways art could be incorporated into the
building. We chose to utilize the lobby floor and the connecting walkways, which extend on the air and land sides of the building.
