I Aldred Bickham of Oldcleeve in the County of Somersett Clothier being in Health of
Body and in memory have with my own hand made this my Last Will and Testament in forme following vizt First I bequeath my
Soule into the hands of the Lord Christ my Redeemer and my body to be buried in decent manner as shall be thought fitt by
my Executrix hereafter named Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Hugh Bickham in money Five Hundred pounds to be paid by
my Executrix unto my Overseers in Trust hereafter named within Six moneths after my decease to be employed by them to the
best advantage unto and benefit of the said Hugh untill he shall attaine the age of One and Twenty yeares if the said Hugh
shall live so long Also I give unto my said Sonn Hugh all my goods that doeth belong to the Cloathing trade as loomes rackes
sheetes profes and all other the like materialls belonging thereunto to be delivered him at the age of One and Twenty years
with my Clock Chest and desk with one silver tankard and a halfe dozen of Silver spoons And one Bead Beadstead & all things
hereunto them belonging I give unto my Daughter Mary Bickham in money Five Hundred pounds to be paid unto my Overseers in
trust by my Executrix with in Twelve moneths after my decease to be employed by them to the best use benefit and advantage
of her the sd Mary Bickham untill she shall attaine the age of Twenty one yeares Item I give unto my Brother Hugh Bickham
my best horse or mare with saddle and bridle belonging which I shall leave At my decease Item I give to each and to every
of my Sisters Ellen Johan Anna Mary and Isott Twenty Shillings apiece in Gold to be paid within one moneth after my decease
Item I give unto my Uncle Hugh Slocombe Ten shillings yearly to be paid him with Ten shillings yearly to be paid him given
by my Fathers Last Will all Twenty shillings to help Buy him cloaths during his naturall life to be paid by my Executrix and
her Assigns Item I give unto the poore of this parish to retain in store for their use the sume of Eight pounds the interest
thereof to buy two shirts for to of ye poorest men of said parish to be given every yeare against Easter To remaine for ever
as to the gift of Ellin Bickham deceased Item I give to other poore Twenty pounds to be distributed by my Executrix as she
shall thinke fit Item I give unto each of my servants which shall be dwelling in my house at my decease Tenn shillings a piece
to be paid them within Three months after my decease Item I give unto my sonn Hugh my Rings And my will is That if either
of my said children dye within the age of One and Twenty yeares that ye survivor with its mother if then living shall have
equally divided the said legacy so given and bequeathed Item I give and bequeath all the rest of my good and chattells unto
Mary Bickham my now wife [w]home I make my whole and sole Executrix and after her decease doe give all these said goods unto
my said sonn Hugh Bickham if [he] shall survive his said mother Executrix to this my last will and Testamant And I do desire
my trusty and welbeloved Friends Richard Bickham of Bristoll Richard Escott of Escott in Carhampton John Crockford Of Oldcleeve
Hugh Bickham of Taunton to be my Overseers in Trust to see this my last Will performed And I do give to each of them Forty
shillings a piece for their pains and cares therein In Witnesse hereunto I have putt my hand and seale this Twentieth day
of October in the yeare of our Lord one Thousand Six Hundred and Seaventy in the 22d year of ye reigne of our Sovereign Lord
