A vintage model, almost certainly made by Northrop's model shop, dating to the early 1960s. It represents the M2-F2, the second generation of the three M2-series lifting bodies. Although the nameplate has a hyphen, both NASA's history and Dale Reed's accounts refer to it as the M2.
