The X-31A VECTOR evolved from the original X-31A, reconfigured with modifications to investigate extremely short takeoff and landing techniques at high angles of attack. My appreciation goes to Erik Simonsen, who helped me obtain this model.  It very accurately depicts the real aircraft, from the markings to the relocated pitot boom.
