This is a variant of the X-31 models distributed by Rockwell. The model and base were purchased from Toys & Models Corporation, but modified by the company with a distinctive metallic label. The consumer version sold directly to the public by Toys & Models had a simple white description silkscreened onto the base. The factory version distributed by Rockwell bore a label reading "X-31 Enhanced Fighter Maneuverability" and had both Rockwell and MBB logos.  Note the thrust-vectoring "paddles" on it.
