For decades Al and Dorothy Vopal made factory models under the company name Custom Models, out of a small shop in Macedonia, OH. Their clients included Aero Commander, Mooney, Beech, Cessna, and Schweizer. This model portrays the Navy's X-26B and was made for Schweizer. It is in 1/30 scale with a wingspan nearly 23 inches. Note the multi-purpose nameplate, intended to go on a variety of the company's powered sailplanes.
