X-24B models were made by Rick Southwick with various paint schemes and markings. This example is white with blue leading edges, and bears NASA tail flash. The metal nameplate reads "NASA Flight Research Center." This model is missing the designator decal "X-24B" that normally is applied next to the "U.S. Air Force" decal along the fuselage. It came to me through the generosity of Melanie Miles Meyer, whose father, veteran Los Angeles Times aerospace reporter Marvin Miles, received it from the Martin Company.
