Sammy Lyles came to town by God! If you have checked out
this site you will recall me saying the Lyles Gurley Band was by far the favorite of my groups. Well Sammy came in from Nashville
and I was lucky enough to catch up with him for a little pickin’ and grinnin’ on the back porch at his nephew’s
house.
This is as live as it gets folks. I haven’t seen
Sammy for ten years and I haven't picked with him for fourteen so what you are about to hear is unedited fun including
the forgotten words and missed chords. But don’t let that bother you. It didn’t bother us.
I have to mention what a great job Debbie did recording
us. It may seem like a simple thing to point a video camera at someone, but that is far from reality. I didn’t bother
to bring the tripod so Debbie had to be the tripod for me. That must be love!!!! Thanks darlin’
