Above you see the most beautiful, and by far one of the most patient wives in the world. She is peering through what used to be the living room wall, and
has since become “the project” for many years. We both agreed that chopping a huge hole in the kitchen wall would
enhance our humble home to the endth degree. What she failed to realize is the time that it would entail, and the eventual
price we would have to pay.
I took three weeks off work
after we purchased our house, which gave me enough time to chop the hole, and put down a nice tile counter top on the pass
through bar that replaced the living room wall. Behind Debbie are the “Swinging Cabinets” that started off as
a set of bifold louver doors to hide the laundry room. The raised panel doors for the swinging cabinets were made many months
later at the expense of another vacation.
The cabinets have since been
stained and finished, but the plan is to make raised panel doors for the rest of the kitchen. The problem is I have nowhere
to do this with any degree of certainty since I have no garage, workshop, or other area that is protected from Mother Nature.
For this reason we have decided we must have a workshop.
I
never realized I was so sneaky! Better late than never. Workshop will be coming soon. Who knows, it may have its own page.
