This is a web site for teachers who aim to help students in all disciplines become better revisers. We will use the word "revision" on this site often. Revision is the process of critical thinking, from the earliest phases of a project to a project's end. Teaching critical thinking may require the use of heuristics (plenty of those here), but more importantly, it requires an open and questioning approach to student work of all kinds. Please feel free to add to our definition of revision and be sure to send us revision assignments of your own.

This web site directs you to resources you may find helpful in getting students to improve their revision skills. At its best, this site should save you time teaching revision by 1) giving you new ideas, 2) offering some new structures for ideas you already have, and 3) pointing you to fresh ideas about revision on the web.
