Welcome to the Class of 74 reunion blog!

This weblog is an online journal of our quest to track down 200+ missing classmates as well as general whining about the search process. We'll try to keep up to date information about the reunion here. We'll still keep the commercial sites (reunion.com & classmates.com) updated as needed but for now, this is home base. If you'd like us to post your comments here, go to the bottom of the page and use the form or drop us an email by going to the contact page and we'll post it. Let me know if you want your name and contact information included.

Things I've seen in the last two days...

I've been wandering the web looking for classmates and trying to see if this site is referenced anywhere. I've been trying to contact Lyle Piner who put a fairly comprehensive site together about Va Beach high schools. That site is the unofficial Va Beach High Schools  site although it looks like it hasn't been updated in 3 or 4 years. Surprisingly, during a google search I stumbled across The First Colonial High School Forum which is an online forum dedicated to our favorite high school. This also appears to be a Lyle Piner managed site. No one from our class appears to have wandered in but it looks very promising. I'm thinking we may want to do our "interactive" stuff there and leave these pages for static posts. Besides, sometimes I like a one-sided conversation :-)

Gary Simon called the other day. He had contacted my mom at the beach and then called me in Illinois. It was great to hear from him. I just realized today that Gary had the single most memorable thing happen to him at the 20 year reunion! I'm including the couple who reconnected and are now married in that list. For Gary's sake, I hope some one else supplies the memories this year.

I'm now officially desperate for volunteers to help track people down. Expect a pleading email or phone call soon. Check out the Missing Classmates link at the top of this page.

Later, John...

Hey, I got kids, a bizillion things going on and I'm trying to trackdown 200+ people.  This site will occasional get neglected. Check back often anyway! I'll try to post some high school stories if I can get the old long-term memory working.
