The following was created by Jonathan Brier. The lab was titled "Diffraction and Interference," not that anything on this cover would give you that feeling. No. This was a cover of exhultation--THE LAST LAB OF THE YEAR. And leave it to Jonathan--bespectacled, droll, almost nerdy . . . but possessing a spectacularly wry sense of humor that made him one of the premiere closet comics on campus when he was here--to celebrate the event with a depiction of the end of World War II.
